The Buffalo Bills (along with the rest of the NFL) are focused on the NFL Draft this weekend, as round one will be held Thursday night in Cleveland, OH while rounds two and three will be Friday night and the rest of the draft will be held on Saturday.

There's a new wrinkle to the NFL for 2021 and it has to do with jersey numbers; more specifically, players getting more freedom with which jersey numbers they can wear.

The NFL and teams agreed on jersey number expansions for certain positions. All wide receivers, running backs, tight ends, and defensive backs will be allowed to wear jersey numbers 1-49, in addition to 80-89 for wide receivers.

New Bills receiver Emmanuel Sanders has decided to take advantage of this new rule and his jersey number will look so strange to NFL fans.

Sanders will wear #1 this year.

If you watch college football, then you probably know that players often wear numbers of all kinds at most positions. Wide receivers often wear single-digit numbers, but this is brand new for the NFL, so it'll take some getting used to.

Sanders was signed as an unrestricted free agent by the Bills in March and will play alongside Stefon Diggs, Cole Beasley, and Gabriel Davis in 2021 -- making the Bills one of the best wide receiver corps in football.

I think it's great that players can switch up jersey numbers now. Make the NFL more fun, please.
