At this point, we've all seen pictures of the Buffalo Bills' new stadium. Maybe you've seen drone footage, or even gotten a glimpse of it in person. It hasn't really felt like a stadium yet, though. It's been missing something. Now, for the first time, it's starting to look a little more like a football field. They've finally shared pictures of the Bills' new stadium with grass in it.

The grass is being added at the New Highmark Stadium

Yes, they've added grass to the field, and it's starting to feel more like a stadium. They shared a couple of pictures on social media today with the caption, "It's all coming together."

The pictures appear to show workers preparing the area, a worker watering the grass, a view from the seats, and a view of the goal posts from what looks like the back of the endzone.

The field will be a real grass surface

One of the biggest things players are looking forward to in the new stadium is that it features a real grass surface (as opposed to turf). Over the last couple of years, they've discovered that turf is a significant contributor to injuries for players across the league. Many teams are trying to get rid of turf altogether in the NFL and move to all-grass fields instead. The Bills are taking a step forward with that in this new stadium.

There is still plenty of work to be done on the new stadium

The Bills are anticipating that they will not be completely finished with the new stadium until December of 2026; however, there will be enough done that they will be able to open the new stadium in the summer of 2026.

If it's been a while since you've gotten to see the progress, you should drive down Abbott Road someday and see how far it's gotten!
