Morgan Wallen was in the news again after his performance on SNL last Saturday.  Yesterday one of New York's biggest landmarks responded.

Saturday Night Live is really good for Morgan Wallen.  No matter what he does for his performance, people always talk about him after he appears on that show.  Back in 2020, he made headlines after being canceled from the show just days before he was supposed to make his debut.  That was following some pictures of him out partying with some girls and ignoring COVID protocols.  He finally made an appearance on the show just a couple of months later and even performed in a skit making fun of the situation.

This past weekend he made news again simply by avoiding the end-of-the-night hugs and handshakes after the show.  Normally when the show is over, the host and musical guest spend some time with the cast on stage as the credits roll.  Morgan simply said something to the host and then walked off the stage.

Shortly after leaving the show, he put a picture of a jet on his Instagram story with the caption, "Get me to God's country." Many assumed that it meant he was eager to get out of the city and back to the country.

New York responds to Morgan Wallen's "God's Country" story

One of New York City's biggest landmarks responded today with a picture essentially saying that they feel the city IS God's country.

You have to agree that even if he didn't mean anything by it, Wallen has definitely grown his audience with country people and had people talking about him quite a bit just for one simple act.
