One doesn’t set Donald Glover to host SNL and overlook his musical talent. The Atlanta and Solo: A Star Wars Story star will make his SNL hosting debut in May, pulling double-duty with his musical alter-ego Childish Gambino.

Let’s be honest – SNL’s Trump impression has little to do these days but parrot back actual statements, and even Alec Baldwin thinks playing the role is “agony.” Trump himself even used Baldwin’s quote to push SNL into bringing Darrell Hammond’s iteration back, and maybe … he’s not wrong?

As if Golden Globes, SAG Awards and a role in Black Panther weren’t enough, Sterling K. Brown’s banner 2018 is adding another honor. The This Is Us star will make his SNL hosting debut in March, flanked by Charles Barkley and Bill Hader.

This coming weekend will see Sam Rockwell taking the SNL stage for the first time, but January 2018 has yet more celebs in store. Season 43 will continue the year with fellow first-timer Jessica Chastain, along with SNL vet Will Ferrell.

Well, if Baby Goose didn’t float your boat, SNL’s October lineup will either fill you with Wonder, or make you Sick with anticipation. Season 43’s next hosts have been announced, including Gal Gadot and Kumail Nanjiani.

It’s been several years since Dana Carvey’s Church Lady graced us with her benevolent presence, but Church Chat finally returns to SNL — and not a moment too soon. With Donald Trump running for president (what a world) and pop culture run amok, we, as a nation, are truly in need of sage wisdom from Carvey’s shrewdly devout Church Lady.

And like that, Vermont senator Bernie Sanders became the third presidential hopeful to appear on SNL this season. While Donald Trump hosted an entire episode last year and Hillary Clinton put in a brief appearance as a bartender counseling Kate McKinnon’s version of her, Sanders’ cameo is a bit more disconnected and bit weirder. Most importantly though, it puts him right next to guest host Larry David, who has been playing him in the show’s political sketches this season.
