New Yorkers Can Get Lawsuit Money If You Used ZOOM Before August
Being on the meeting app, ZOOM, had become a regular occurrence since the pandemic started in early 2020. Even if you use another app to do your work meetings, or chat with friends and family via video, you might even still use the verb ZOOM to see and hang out with each other.
Well, if you had ZOOM downloaded and you used the app for anything before August of 2021, you could be entitled to some money.
You can see the entire class-action lawsuit, but here is what is going on:
- There was a class-action lawsuit last year that was filed in District Court for the Northern District of California in San Jose because apparently, there were some privacy and security issues. Now, Zoom denied the claim but still paid out $85 million.
- Now, there is going to be another lawsuit.
- If you paid for a Zoom meeting app subscription between March 30, 2016, and July 30, 2021, you can file a claim for $25 or 15% of what you paid for the subscription, according to the agreement.
- Also, if you even opened it, registered, or downloaded ZOOM, between March 30, 2016, and July 30, 2021 you can get 15 bucks.
Since the pandemic, Zoom says that they have over 300 million daily users use it for meetings. If any of these happened to you and you want to join the lawsuit, you can do so here, regardless of what state you are from.
