It seems crazy to think that you'd need an ID to get into a McDonald's Restaurant in New York, but it's happening in at least one restaurant.

Can you even picture being turned away at McDonald's because you didn't have an ID or because you were too young?  Most of us have been going there since we were little kids but it's a possibility that our kids wouldn't be able to get in without us.

A McDonald's restaurant in Brooklyn is making headlines because it's begun carding people at the door and turning down anyone who was younger than 20 that tried to get in without a parent.  The move comes after dealing with months of crime from school aged kids.  They've had kids come to the restaurant and throw ice, smoke weed in the restaurant, and even grabbing bags of food that were set aside for Uber Eats to pick up.

One of the managers said the last straw was when "a group of kids wearing ski masks swirled in after school and attacked a security guard, breaking a glass door."

I can't blame them at all. If kids can't act right, then they shouldn't be allowed in. It's unfortunate for the kids that are well behaved, but you can't expect a business owner to conduct business that way.  They have to do whatever they feel is necessary to protect themselves and their business.

But it wouldn't be surprising to see more fast food places jumping on this trend.
