You Can Adopt a Piglet at Western New York SPCA
You’ve heard the adage before — “adopt, don’t shop.”
It’s absolutely true. There are many dogs and cats out there at shelters that are in desperate need of homes. Perhaps there’s a perception that if the animals are there, they’re not well-behaved, but that’s not the case for many of them.
These dogs and cats just were dealt a bad hand and have landed there to no fault of their own.
We have a rescue dog named Odessa, who my fiancée and I adopted back in 2018. She’s the sweetest dog you will ever meet and we still can’t believe she was ever at a shelter at such a young age.
Shelters, such as the SPCA, don’t just have dogs and cats either. They have other animals to adopt. The Niagara SPCA currently have very unique animals available for adoption.
According to their Facebook page, the Niagara SPCA current has a couple of adorable piglets available for adoption.
These piglets will grow to 200 lbs fully grown and need a home or bran large enough to accommodate them.
They’re so adorable.
Shelters sometimes have animals such as chickens, bunnies and other non-traditional animals for adoption. It’s always fun seeing different kinds of animals at SPCA locations, because it shows us that so many animals still need a loving home.
