There is a reason why Dyngus Day is so popular here in WNY.  We have a ton of people that are of Polish Heritage.

When it comes to Easter, many of the families that celebrate it here in WNY are of Polish heritage, so often you'll see Polish traditions.

Actually, Polish Easter breakfast is just as big as dinner.  They will celebrate with all kinds of meats, eggs, and specially made cakes.

Don't forget to get the basket blessed as well.  The basket contains a lot of the food that the family will eat at dinner and will be prepared on Saturday.  Then it's brought to church on Sunday to be blessed.

And make sure you've got your decorations straight too.  You should definitely have pussy willows.  While we celebrate Palm Sunday with the waving of Palms to remember Christ coming to Jerusalem on a donkey, palm trees are rare in Poland.  So they often used pussy willows or 'palms' made of colorful woven dried branches in their place.
