I grew up in North Amherst, but for nearly five years I lived in Hamburg and I loved every minute of it.

Sure, it might take a little more drive-time to get to destinations vs. places in the northtowns, but the food and bar scenes in the southtowns is pretty great, and one of the most popular places for people in Hamburg is JP Fitzgerald's.

If you're looking for a new job or know someone who is, then you're in luck, because JP Fitzgerald's will be holding a job fair, according to their Facebook page.

The job fair will actually be the second, and be held next Tuesday, May 25th from 12-3 pm at their location on Clark St. in the heart of Hamburg.

They will be hiring for most positions, such as line cooks, dishwashers, bartenders, hosts/hostesses, servers and even doormen.

The restaurant industry has gone through a lot over the year. They've had to deal with the dining rooms being closed for a considerable amount of time and other restrictions. Now, many places are in need to hire because of a shortage of staffing. It's already caused Ted's to temporarily close its Union Road location, and Louie's in Tonawanda is closing permanently after struggling to find workers.

JP's is a way of life for many who reside in Hamburg and is often packed on Friday and Saturday nights, although I don't think they've had a non-busy night for any day of the week.
