Ralph Carter, the actor who played Evans, was also well-known for his hit singles “When You're Young and In Love” and “Extra Extra” and was nominated for a Tony award for his work in the Broadway musical Raisin. He recently wrote a play called Grandma's Hands, which is inspired by the women in his family. Come meet him at the Retro Disco Dance Party on Friday, October 26!
