Three Places Sean McDermott Could Coach Next
The Buffalo Bills surprised many people on Monday when they let go of Sean McDermott as head coach after nine seasons.
Buffalo was McDermott's first head coaching job in the NFL after spending several years as an assistant coach in the league. Now that he is unemployed, there are several teams that could reach out to him to become their next head coach.
Where Sean McDermott Could Coach Next
Baltimore Ravens - They are in the same boat as Buffalo. They have a superstar QB in Lamar Jackson and haven't made it to the Super Bowl in several years. They just let go of John Harbaugh after 18 years. If they want a defensive-minded CEO coach, McDermott could be a great fit.
Arizona Cardinals - McDermott was the coach that help the Bills end their playoff drought. He is known for helping turn things around, and that is the kind of coach the Cardinals need. They need someone who is disciplined and can right the ship. McDermott could be that coach.
UB Bulls - Ok..this is a long shot, but McDermott loves Buffalo, his family loves Western New York, and if he took over the UB football program, he could stay in the 716. He would also be the coach who could turn UB into a winning program again. The current UB coach, Pete Lambo, has been there two seasons and is 14-11. I could see McDermott taking over the program, recruiting good players who know he has connections to the NFL. Will it happen...again, a LONG Shot.
