The Sky Will Be Smiling At You In New York, Literally
We have a chance to see something completely out of the ordinary this week, but you'll have to look to the sky to see it.
You may have heard a phrase that essentially says that someone is smiling down on you from heaven, and this week, if you're paying attention, you might just be able to see it.
Popular Science says a rare 'Smiley Face' will light up the night sky this week
It reminds me of the famous scene from Alice in Wonderland when you see the Cheshire Cat's grin and eyes suddenly appear in the sky before you see the rest of him resting calmly in a tree.
In this instance, though, it will be two planets and the moon that will make up the smiley face. According to Popular Science, the combination of Saturn, Venus, and a crescent moon will make it appear as though something is smiling from the sky.

Don't blink or it will be gone
If you're hoping to see it with your own eyes, you're going to want to hope for clear skies because it won't last all that long. They say it will happen shortly before dawn on Friday morning, April 25th, around 5:30 am. If you're looking for it, look for a clear eastern horizon.
NASA Solar System Ambassador Brenda Culbertson told a Kansas TV station (KSNT) that of the two "eyes" in the smiley face, Venus will be the one higher on the face, and Saturn will be lower. You should be able to see it with the naked eye, but a pair of binoculars or a backyard telescope might help to see it better.
