The same people own Chrusciki Bakery, Simply Pierogi Polish Kitchen, and Sto Lat Bar and they are about to open a brand new business that everyone is talking about in Lancaster, New York. The owner, Ania Duchon, is creating quite the empire and we are here for it. The latest? A coffee shop AND a speakeasy coming to Lancaster!

It was a sad weekend though for people who loved the Lancaster Coffee Co, as they acknowledged in a Facebook post they are in search of a new location. The Toy Store announced they will be moving a few buildings over in the Village.

What is the new speakeasy in Lancaster going to be called? It will be called  '1924' after Duchon's 98-year-old grandfather and the theme will be, of course, all Polish! It will be tapas-style plates and only the good drinks will be served. (This isn't going to be your local hangout atmosphere like Longneckers or GBP--sorry guys! LOL)

Speakeasies were huge back in the 1920s during Prohibition and they were, of course, a secret and you may only know it was open by a clue, like a certain light being on or something. Now, speakeasies are becoming more popular in modern-day, but obviously, you know a little bit more about the place. There is one in East Aurora that is under a building by the Elm Street Bakery as well.
