Wrestling Legend Sting to appear in Western New York
One of the greatest professional wrestlers of all time will be making an appearance in Western New York this weekend.
Steve Borden, who is better known by his ring name Sting, is widely regarded as one of the greatest professional wrestlers of all time, and he will be making an appearance in the Rochester suburb of Victor this weekend at the Eastview Mall.
Sting's wrestling career has spanned over five decades, and he has won a total of fifteen world championships. He currently is signed with All Elite Wrestling (AEW) as the mentor of Darby Allin. Sting has spent time in the WCW (World Championship Wrestling), Total Nonstop Action Wrestling, the WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment), and has been wil All-Elite Wrestling since 2020.
Sting will appear at Hero's Hideout at the Eastview Mall (7979 Pittsford Victor Road) in Victor this Saturday, July 23rd, from 1 to 4 pm. Photos with Sting are available for $60, Autographs are also $60, and there is a VIP package available for $200.
Sting, who started his professional wrestling career under the ring name Flash, was born in Omaha, Nebraska, played football and basketball in high school, and later focused on a career in bodybuilding. He actually once co-owning a Gold's Gym.
When he was growing up, there was no access to professional wrestling on TV where he lived. His decision to pursue a career in the ring came after he was taken to a World Wrestling Federation (WWF) event in Los Angeles where he saw legends Hulk Hogan, and André the Giant perform. The rest, as they say, is history.
