The burst of warm summer weather across Western New York is a reminder that it will soon be time to head out to our favorite amusement parks.

According to Buffalo Business First, Fantasy Island is going to be targeting this Spring to open up. They want to open up on Memorial Day this year which is May 30.

When Fantasy Island announced it was shutting its gates for good in February of 2020, it felt like a small part of Western New York had died.

Now operating under a new name and new ownership, the former Fantasy Island hopes to reopen by May.

After being closed for more than a year, an amusement park that was a Western New York staple in Grand Island for 60 years is reopening under new ownership.

A lot has changed for the amusement park that we know as "Fantasy Island" in the last year. Now they're trying to re-open it this summer.

Fantasy Island could very well be saved and open its doors again this summer.

Fantasy Island opening again at some point?

Empire Adventures Inc. will officially announce Fantasy Island reopening by next year on Thursday.

Empire Adventures Inc. is a new WNY amusement park company that has serious plans to reopen Fantasy Island by next summer and introduce new rides!
