New ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ TV Spot Gives First Glimpse of Splinter
There's been a lot of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles buzz going around about the upcoming movie, but trailers have been vague and fleeting at best. The latest is no exception, but we do get our first look at the new Splinter, as well as the notorious villain Shredder.
You can watch the clip, which premiered on the 2014 MTV Movie Awards last night, above and try to pause it at the exact millisecond where these guys show up.
Splinter, who's sorta the turtles' Mr. Miyagi and trains the turtles in the art of ass-kicking, is voiced by Monk himself, Tony Shalhoub.
In addition to this quick glimpse of Splinter, we also get to see slimy cameraman Vernon Fenwick, played by Will Arnett, and Michaelangelo, who's shown up in a previous trailer. But he pops up at the end of the above clip, looking a little like the New York Knicks' Carmelo Anthony.
The movie opens on Aug. 8, so you still have some time to brush up on your Turtle Power.
