Don’t let the headline scare you if you’re one of those “pickup men.”  This hike only concerns those who drive way larger trucks, ones with 3 or more axles.  Yep,  the NYS Thruway Authority has proposed to raise tolls for those who drive the “big trucks” by….. 45 percent.  The authority board says that the money from the toll hike would be put toward replacing the Tappan Zee Bridge.  The last time the tolls on the I-90 were raised was back in 2010.

Just for facts and figures…..That 3 axle truck, if traveling from New York City to Buffalo, would have to pay a toll of $127.00.  That’s surely an increase from what they have to pay now…..$88.00!
