There are a few reasons that people feel superstitious about Friday the 13th, some of them may seem silly while others have some basis in fact. However, whatever your reason, just make sure you take care of yourself today because we don't want anything to happen to you.
According to History.com, there are generally a few reasons why people feel that Friday the 13th is an unlucky day:
- Norse mythology tells a story about 12 gods having a dinner party in Valhalla and Loki, the god of mischief, crashes the party and causes the death of another Norse god.
- Christian superstitions tell a story about the last supper and how it had 13 people on the night before Christ was crucified, which was on Good Friday.
- In 1307, hundreds of Templar Nights were arrested by King Philip IV of France on Friday, the 13th of October.
