Last week, New York state ordered all bars and restaurants to temporarily close dine-in services to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.

According to Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz, two bars were in direct violation with that order and were shut down by the Erie County Department of Health and Erie County Sheriff.

The two establishments were the Swannie House in Buffalo and AJ's Clarence Hollow in Clarence.

Both cases will be referred to the New York State Liquor Authority. It's possible both could lose their liquor license and be permanently shut down.

The Erie County Executive says this is serious and serves as a warning to not violate the state's orders...otherwise, you will be shut down.
