Orchard Park Fire Company officials are going to be busy getting repairs done on one of their buildings this week after vandals smashed windows and caused damage.

In a story from Channel 2,

Photos from the fire department show a car with a cracked windshield, and at least two smashed windows, while the trailer appears to have dents and scratches.

Following this incident, the department says Saturday night, someone threw rocks through the windows of the fire station.

The building on School Street in Orchard Park has been boarded up and you are being asked to share any information. IN a post on their Facebook page, OPFD says:

If anyone saw anything or has any information, we ask that you contact the OP Police @ 662-6444. We would appreciate any information you might have.

It really is maddening even if you don't live in the Village of Orchard Park. Our volunteer firefighters are true heroes and they and their property deserve our respect. We can only hope that this is a one-time thing and not any type of serial vandal pattern.
