Vehicles for Vets Finalist: Nicholas Green – USMC

The Basil 'Vehicles for Vets' has started! The final giveaway will be on August 14th at the Erie County Fair, also Veterans Day at the Fair - free admission to all those who are serving & have served! There will be 9 finalists total, and they can win a new car or $21,000 in Basil bucks towards the purchase of a vehicle.

Nicholas Green is our very first finalist and he was nominated by his wife, Stephanie. Here is what she wrote:

"My husband joined the Marine Corps in a time a time of war. Completing three tours in Afghanistan beginning in 2010, as an infantryman. After his time in the Marines came to an end, he went on to become a Honolulu Police officer. Honolulu was his duty station. He loved being a Marine and a Police Officer. Due to medical issues of his mother in law, he moved back to Buffalo for me. He is always willing to make a selfless sacrifice, whether it's for his country, or giving up a job he loves so I can be closer to my family. If anyone deserves to be nominated it would be him."
