Buffalo Bills Overcome First Half Deficit For Big Win Over New England
The 15th week of the NFL 2025/26 season has brought two big teams together for a game that has significant meaning for the AFC East lead. If the New England Patriots grab a victory, they will have won the AFC East for the first time in 6 years. If the Bills grab the win, they spoil things for the Patriots and give themselves a chance to keep pace for the lead.
The 132nd meeting of these two teams did not disappoint one bit as New England started fast and scored often in the first half. The first quarter was all New England, with second-year quarterback Drake Maye giving an amazing performance on the field with two rushing touchdowns. TreVeyon Henderson added a 52 rushing touchdown early in the second quarter to give New England a 21-0 lead.
The Bills were able to put some points on the board thanks to a 5-yard pass Josh Allen was able to toss to James Cook with about 2 minutes left in the half. Going into the break, the Bills trailed the Patriots 24-7.
For most of the season, the Bills have shown us that they're a second-half team, and this week was no different as the Bills turned things around and scored on three consecutive drives to take the lead 28-21.
JA17 kicked off the scoring with a 4-yard pass to Dawson Knox, which was then followed by James Cook getting back into the end zone on a 3-yard score on the next Buffalo possession. Not to be denied, Dawson Knox grabbed a 14-yard pass from Josh Allen for his second touchdown of the game.
TreVeyon Henderson and James Cook traded rushing touchdowns in the 4th quarter to bring the score to 35-31.
As the game approached a close, the Patriots had the ball and were looking to start a drive, but a big play from Joey Bosa made sure to end New England's drive and give the Bills offense a chance to end the game in victory formation.
This 35-31 win by the Bills helps to position them for a chance to take over the AFC East from New England. Now the team looks forward to NFL week sixteen where they travel to Cleveland for a Lake Erie battle against the Browns.
