
Wegmans Increasing Employee Pay During COVID-19 Pandemic
To show their appreciation to the employees working during the unprecedented coronavirus pandemic; Wegmans will temporarily increase pay for their workers $2.00/per hour, during March and April, according to WIVB.

The move was announced in a letter sent out to employees this week.
Wegmans, along with other grocery stores, was deemed an essential service under New York State's temporary mandate that 100% of non-essential workers must work from home for the time being, as the COVID-19 pandemic impacts our communities.
There's no doubt these employees deserve the increase in pay, as they're helping out people in need.
