What’s This About Al Amigone’s + a Revolving Bar?? [BUFFALO: THEN AND NOW]
Yes, you read that headline right: Al Amigone's was apparently home to a revolving bar.
The only problem is, I really don't know what that means -- and try as I might, I can't figure it out. Did the bar actually turn in circles (hard to imagine based on the illustrations on the postcard above)? Or is that some sort of metaphor for an ever-changing liquor supply?
Sadly, Richard (Pete) Mann's comment on This Was Buffalo -- basically the only digital piece of info I could find on the former Al Amigone's Restaurant and Bar -- doesn't go any deeper. But he certainly piqued my curiosity!
So, dear listeners -- help me out! Anyone got the deets? In the meantime, I'll just drive past 401 Delaware Ave. and wonder...
