Wife Tries to Sell Husband Who Forgot Mother’s Day — For a Good Cause
Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned, indeed.
Katie Bouyea, of Jupiter, Fla., posted a message Monday on a local Facebook group's page where people sell items offering up her husband after he forgot Mother's Day:
Husband for sale, best offer. Hubby who couldn't be bothered to wish me happy Mother's Day or do anything special for me yesterday. One woman's trash is another woman's treasure -- has eight years of marriage mileage so somewhat broken in. Pick up in Jupiter."
That's right -- Katie's husband, Chris, totally missed out on Mother's Day. No car, no candy, nothing.
While Katie's sarcasm is thicker than smog in summer, she does have good intentions. It turns out she's trying to raise money for a local family that owes $20,000 in medical bills for their young son, who's been diagnosed with childhood ALS.
Bouyea had already sold $150 worth of stuff when Chris, knowing his Mother's Day snafu ticked off his wife, suggested she sell him, as well.
He's certainly taking it well. "It's funny for me, and it turned out doing something good," Chris said.
