You’ll Need to Show Proof of Vaccination at These Spots in Buffalo

With only one region in New York State really controlling the spread of COVID-19. According to the most recent state COVID-19 update, released Sunday, October 3 (with data for Saturday, October 2) by the Governor's Offices, Western New York has a COVID-19 positive rate above the statewide average.

Here's a look at the 7-day average percentage of positive tests for each region for Saturday, October 2:

Statewide - 2.44%

Capital Region - 3.69%

Central New York - 5.19%

Finger Lakes - 4.39%

Long Island - 2.97%

Mid-Hudson - 2.34%

Mohawk Valley - 4.94%

New York City - 1.34%

North Country - 5.56%

Southern Tier - 3.30%

Western New York - 4.31%
