5 Simple April Fool’s Pranks for Kids
We love a good, harmless April Fool's Day joke. Here are a few that are fun and kid-friendly!
- 1
Fake Milk
Dissolve 1 packet of plain gelatin in 1/2 cup boiling water.
Stir in 3/4 cup of milk, 2 tablespoons sweetened condensed milk, and 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla.
Let it chill in the fridge (hidden, of course). Have it waiting on the table for 'em, and watch the little ones get really confused (the bonus is, it's actually tasty...like a panna cotta.)! - 2
Sponge Brownies
Cut up cheap kitchen sponges to brownie-size, and frost the entire thing. Add sprinkles for fun.
(Even better, make a pan of real ones, cut them up, and pop in a bunch of the fake ones) - 3
Brown-E's
Cut out a bunch of "E's" on brown construction paper. Put them in a brownie pan and cover with foil. Technically, you're not lying....
- 4
Candied Onions
Cover full onions in melted caramel, put sticks in the top, and serve!
(make some real ones too, so after the prank, reward the good sport) - 5
Donut Seeds
For the real little ones, hand them a little baggie of Cheerios and ask them to plant them in the yard the night before.
The next morning, replace them with "real" donuts to be discovered!
