Yes, the area is coming off a historic Christmas blizzard. The winter months are not for the meek as it does snow and is very cold. It's also not nearly as bad as people make it out to be. Because of Buffalo's location on Lake Erie, the snow often is here and gone rather quickly vs. piling up. Most of the year it's actually very mild. Summers are very warm and sunny. Fall is gorgeous here. People act like Buffalo is the artic, but in fact is much milder than places like Fargo, ND, and even St. Paul, MN.
