The team is changing and now it looks like the experience is going to change for the fans too.  The Bills announced a change in the tailgating policy.

You may have noticed that over the years, the tailgating culture has changed a bit at New Era Field.  What started as food and drinks, is now an entire party with fires and people flying through folding tables.

The Bills are hoping to make the experience a fun one and a safe one at the same time.  The major change involves people who arrive at the game in limos or busses.

The new rule will not allow them to tailgate at the vehicle that they arrived in.  Instead, they will come to a party at what is being called "Tailgate Village."

Tailgate Village will be housed within the Bus and Limo Parking Lot and offers fans multiple tailgate packages to take advantage of.

“We want to provide a safe and fun experience in the Bus and Limo Lot,” said Bills Vice President of Operations and Guest Experience, Andy Major. “That’s the overarching goal. We’re working closely with Tailgate Guys, which is a Bills partner, who have the expertise in fan tailgating and group tailgating. They do this across the country at many of the largest colleges in the nation and they do it very successfully…So, we’re excited to move forward with them, and we think they’re going to do a great job with this.”

So what do you get if you're in the Tailgate Village?  According to BuffaloBills.com, you'll get "a tent, tables and chairs as well as help from Tailgate Guys to assist with setup. Fans will enjoy music provided by a live DJ and appearances by Billy Buffalo and the Bills Stampede."
