Blue Or Black? That Is The Pen Question For Buffalo
There are some great questions in this life that we all live. Chocolate or Vanilla Ice Cream? All Flats, or all Drums? And of course, do you like to write with Blue or Black pens?
This is a seriously important question people. The other day, when I was taking some notes during a Zoom meeting, as is the norm now in this pandemic world, I reached for a pen and when it started writing on the paper, I found myself filled with an irrational disgust. THE PEN WAS BLUE! How could this atrocity have happened? By now, you have probably surmised that I am a BLACK PEN guy. I'm not sure exactly when, or how I came to this decision in life, but whenever I actually have to write something in this digital age, I just feel so much more at ease when I do it with a black pen.
According to the website Blog.Penvibe.com (Yes, it's a real thing)...
Blue ink is preferred because when black ink is used, someone at the bank or credit card company may not be able to tell whether they are looking at a photocopy of a signature or an originally inked signature. ... it's easier to assume that the document is 'original' if it is signed in blue ink
Well, so much for logic. I just like the look of the black ink I guess. The blue ink on my pad the other day just felt wrong on so many levels. So, I had to take to social media to see what the pen color of choice is here in WNY.
I can totally relate to this reasoning for being on Team Black Pen
I'm not a southpaw, but if I was, this would be some sound reasoning...
With the results split down the middle on Twitter, we conducted a not-so-scientific poll...On Facebook.
Well, that wasn't much help either. Seems to be split down the middle.
So what do you say Western New York, what color pen do you prefer to write with?
