Hi! Are you a band from Buffalo and Western New York? Do you have ORIGINAL music? We'd like to hear it.

As Buffalo's Real Rock, we are looking for all types of ROCK bands and solo acts, or at least rock adjacent. Electronic is welcome. Country bands and acts with a rock lean... sure. Why not? If we can play Jelly Roll and Hardy, then we can give you a chance, too; just make sure it rocks.

To be considered, you MUST submit AN ORIGINAL SONG - absolutely NO covers.

What are we going to do with it? That depends on all of you.

We have many ideas, including playing it on the air... if it's worth it, respectfully. After that, you'll have to wait and see. Maybe nothing! Maybe something wonderful. You won't know if you don't submit. More about this is below.

First, though, we need to know who's out there.

If you have questions, email Pat@WBUF.com

Submitting your info and song does not guarantee anything. We do not promise to play your music, promote it, shout out your band, give you kisses, etc.

If you emailed me your music before, you need to submit it here again. Sorry. I'll try to reach out to you. If that's too much work for you, then I wish you the very best of luck in this business.

No, we won't, like, sell your music or something stupid like that. Calm down. Of course we absolutely have the right to play it on the air and our stream because we're a radio station, and you're a band. Duh.

Entry does not guarantee you a prize, airplay, or anything at all. We might play it on air. We might not. We might use it to select a battle of the bands of some sort. Maybe not. Maybe I send it to a record rep I know? Maybe I don't. We might sit in an office, pick our noses, and listen to it. Not that we do that... The point is you are promised nothing here, just a maybe. The one thing I'll promise you: if we do something with it, I will contact you ahead of time and let you know.

No, I will not make fun of you on the air or otherwise if I think your music sucks. All of this is to do good things, not to tear anyone down. I do recommend not being a jerk, not being pushy, and not demanding things. Again, nothing is promised here.

Pro Tips:

We want to know who's doing what because this is a BIG industry with an awful lot of bands. If you hope to magically get discovered, you won't. So, tell us you're here. WE WANT TO HELP YOU.

Send a good recording. Please, God, send a good recording.

Share this with other bands and spread the word.

Be patient, please.

Let us know when you are playing: Pat@WBUF.com

Thanks, and here's to what we hope are fun things in 2025!

Red Hot Chili Peppers at Darien Lake PAC

Rock and Roll Hall of Famers the Red Hot Chili Peppers came back through the Western New York area on Friday night for the 1st time in 7 years. The band is currently on the road what they are calling the Unlimited Love Tour. The last time they played in the area was in Buffalo at the KeyBank Center in February of 2017. So, it's been a while since their fans had to wait for the band to circle back around. This time though they had longtime guitarist John Frusciante back with them replacing Josh Klinghoffer, who was with the band from 2009-2019.
