This Year’s Madden Rankings for the Buffalo Bills
This year's release of the iconic video game franchise isn't due out until August 19th, but player ratings have begun to leak out.
Madden NFL may be as much a part of the NFL as the game of football itself. The game was first released by EA Sports in 1988 and is named after Pro Football Hall of Fame coach and commentator John Madden. The game has surpassed over 130 million units sold and is the only officially licensed National Football League video game series. EA Sports has released the game every year since 1990.
I still remember playing Madden 92' on my Sega Genisis. I would be the NFC All-Madden team and set out on a mission to score 100 points against the Cleveland browns. It was also fun being the Buffalo Bills, and hitting Don Bebe on the deep Y cross. He was unstoppable!
Each day of release week for this year's game, ESPN will be releasing the name of a top-ranked player. The first name to be released this year was San Francisco 49ers OT Trent Williams, who became the first offensive lineman to join the game's "99 Club". Las Vegas Raiders WR Davante Adams has also been leaked as a member of the "99 Club" for this year.
