The Buffalo Sabres are set to kick off their regular season on October 9th, and there will be A LOT going on at KeyBank Center. The Sabres are looking to end their 15-year playoff drought when they host the New York Rangers at KeyBank Center to start the 2025-26 NHL Season.

Here Is What You Need To Know About the Buffalo Sabres' Season Opener

The Buffalo Sabres will host the New York Rangers on Thursday, October 9th. Puck drop is set for 7 pm.

Before the game starts, there will be a special "Party in the Plaza" event. Fans can enjoy live music, activities, food, and drink options along with player and alumni appearances. The party in the plaza starts at 3:45 pm. The Sabres will also have a special blue and gold carpet that the players will use as they make their way through the crowd and into the arena.

Nerds Gone Wild will be playing live for the fans inside Ticketmaster Alumni Plaza beginning at 4:45 pm. There will also be a special commemorative ticket station that allows fans to have their photo taken and go home with a print-out ticket to remember the night.

All fans will also be given a commemorative rally towel. A towel will be placed on every seat in the arena.

Doors to KeyBank Center will open at 5 pm.
