Jack Eichel scored a goal and added three assists and Robin Lehner stopped 33 shots as the Buffalo Sabres shut out the Edmonton Oilers 5-0 on Tuesday night.  The Sabres scored three power play goals and won their second game in a row for just the second time this season.

The team on the ice the last two games in Calgary and Edmonton has been a far different team that embarrassed itself Saturday in Buffalo against Dallas.  Yes, they're the same players but they've had little resemblance to the ones in uniform against the Stars.  These last two games they've been playing the way they've been coached to play.  The message to the team after the Dallas game was to play for each other and that's exactly what they've done.

After scoring four times in the second period and building a 5-0 lead against the Oilers, their focus in the third period was helping Lehner get his second shut out of the season and they did.  It's amazing the things that can happen when you play as a team.

Ryan O'Reilly scored twice, Sam Reinhart and Zemgus Girgensons had the other Buffalo goals while Rasmus Ristolainen and Kyle Okposo each had a pair of assists to lead the offense.

The Sabres look to complete the sweep on the western road trip when they play the Vancouver Canucks on Thursday night.
