Two Deadliest Roads To Drive On in New York State
While there are plenty of roads throughout the Empire State that are treacherous to drive on, these two are the most dangerous.
New York State has thousands of miles of roads in multiple types of settings. From New York City and its cluttered streets to the winding roads cutting through and around the Adirondack mountains, you can find any road you want to drive on. Some, though, are dangerous.
Why they are dangerous also depends on the setting. In New York City, dangers pop up due to close quarters, aggressive driving, and sudden starts and stops. For other areas, it has to do with things like snowy conditions, poor lighting, and even wildlife. New York gets all four seasons of the year, and while snow is a concern, there are things like wet leaves. The state also has major interstates, like the I-90, where people travel at high speeds.
What makes some roads the most dangerous? While the conditions and locations can be debated, statistics can show a more reliable and objective answer. That's what we will examine here when determining the Two Deadliest Roads To Drive On in New York State.
