As the Buffalo Sabres begin a new season, new equipment has been rolled out. For the goalies, it's always a bit of an event. New pads with new designs and, most interestingly, new goalie masks with incredible paint jobs.

Buffalo Sabres Goalie Devon Levi

Buffalo Sabres goaltender Devon Levi came onto the team late last year and immediately impressed. He helped the Sabres push for a playoff spot. While they ultimately didn't reach that goal Levi showed he was ready for the NHL, even as a rookie.

While at Northeastern University, Leviset the school record for shutouts in a season with 10 in the 2021-22 campaign. Many believe Levi is the top Goaltending prospect in the league right now. After finishing Northeastern's college season last year, Levi signed with the Sabres and was immediately brought up to the main roster. He was, as they say, "thrown to the wolves" and put into action quickly. He did not disappoint, however. In 7 games with the Sabres Levi won 5, and had a .905 save percentage while making many big saves to keep the Sabres' playoff hopes alive.

Going into this season, Levi will battle Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen and Eric Comrie for the starting job and playing time.
