Goo Goo Dolls Announce Big Tour for Next Year
Buffalo's favorite sons are coming home. Four-time Grammy-nominated, multi-platinum selling band Goo Goo Dolls have announced fifteen additional dates for their 2022 North American tour.
The cross country trek is scheduled to kick off in July in Idaho, with over 35 stops along the way. The band Blue October will be the opening act for the entire tour, including the final night, September 24th, 2022 right here at the KeyBank Center in Buffalo!
The band also announced a charitable baseball connection to the tour today, as they will be partnering with the Joe Torre Safe At Home Foundation.
Per their press release, The Safe at Home foundation is;
"a nonprofit founded in 2002 by Ali and Joe Torre to provide healing and education services to youth who have been traumatized by exposure to violence including domestic violence, child abuse, teen dating abuse, and sexual assault to help break the cycle of violence."
It's no secret that the Goo's are big baseball fans, so the teaming up with the legendary former Yankee skipper's charity should come as no surprise. Fans can check out the goings-on of the tour, and some unique opportunities by visiting JoeTorre.org/GooGooDolls.
The Goo's recently released a deluxe version of their first-ever Christmas album, and are currently in the studio hard at work on their thirteenth studio album.
Texas outfit Blue October will be opening the show. Their latest release, "I Hope Your Happy" is a sonically abundant, rich, lusciously atmospheric, lovingly produced record. The band is comprised of Ryan Delahoussaye, the band’s multi-instrumentalist; Matt Noveskey on bass; and brothers Jeremy and Justin Furstenfeld, the band’s drummer and frontman, respectively.
