Everyone, alright mostly everyone, likes to get scared. Whether you watch scary movies or you enjoy going on haunted tours, attractions, or houses, there is never a shortage of how people can get their adrenaline rush thru the faux threat of being threatened.

I remember, at the age of 12-13 years of age, my uncle and his girlfriend at the time took me to an actual house, in a neighborhood, that was decorated and staffed for Halloween. People paid to enter and then proceeded to go through the home. That's where it all started and all ended for me.

First stop, the dining room. One strobe light and a real person surprising visitors and I had one foot out the door. To this day I can't go into one of those places, and I'm an adult. Not sure if my uncle got his money back because we were in the for a nanosecond but it turned out to be a lifelong memory for me.

Well now you can experience the same thing and it's all for a great cause. As per WIVB

870 Lee Home Haunt is giving partial proceeds for Ten Lives Club and Oishei Children’s Hospital so the admission is worth the price of getting frightened. The house is open from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. every Friday, Saturday Sunday until Halloween and the weather will never be a factor.

They also have the kids covered on Sunday, October 24th there will be a kid’s day with the lights on and NO SCARING, something I needed back in the '70s. That takes place from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., followed by the real haunted house opening back up.

870 Lee Home Haunt was the winner of Buffalo’s Best Haunted House in 2020. More information  HERE. Happy haunting.
