It Poured Sheets Of Rain Yesterday In Buffalo. Here Is What It Looked Like (Video)
It rained in Buffalo yesterday. A lot.
Is this breaking news? Nope. It’s summer in Western New York, and the last time I checked that’s what happens from time to time. It’s not like it was hail, a tornado (although there was a chance of one yesterday), a blizzard, a tropical storm, etc. It was just a lot of rain all at once, especially in the North towns.
I was driving down Sheridan Drive yesterday evening when the storm came rolling in. You could see the wall of rain on its way and not just hear, but feel the thunder too. It was weird though because until I was actually in it, I couldn’t see the lightning. Then I got in it.
EVERYTHING slowed down.
It was raining literally sheets and flooded the road on the sides. Like a child, I decided to treat it as an action movie and power through the floods. I’m a guy what do you want?
Then I realized I should record this. Why? I don’t know. Why do people run to the window when the first snowflake comes down? Why do people take pictures of fireworks? AND why do people say they hate those and they like them and comment on them on Facebook? Because. That’s why.
Disclaimer for those who will get all uppity
For the record, I have one of those window mounts for my phone on my windshield. I started and ended the recording while at a red light both times, but edited it down after. I edited it partly because I was trying to show you the giant puddles. The other reason is I got annoyed at someone for driving like an assclown and figured I’d spare you from the choice words I was spewing...loudly...and I didn’t want to incriminate them either. That’s the real reason.
Anyway, here’s how much it rained yesterday…
