Milk, Bread, and Eggs were on a lot of people's shopping lists late Friday night.

Many Western New Yorkers spent their Friday night waiting in long lines in order to stock up on groceries ahead of the pending Winter Storm that is coming into the area this weekend.

I stopped by the Tops on Southwestern Blvd in Hamburg around 7:30 pm last night and the line at the check out almost reached across the whole store. It looks like that was the case at many stores last night.


If you didn't head out to the store last night, you still have some time today before the majority of the snow starts flying across Western New York. The snow is expected to start ramping up on Saturday afternoon and then really start flying on Sunday. The biggest travel issue will be the high winds that are expected across the area on Saturday.

It could lead to blizzard-like conditions and possible white-out conditions. If you do go out to grab some groceries, make sure to use extra caution on the roads.
