The overwhelming success of Caitlin Clark has sparked a massive new amount of interest in women’s basketball. The star point guard is one of the most famous athletes in the world right now after becoming the highest scoring player in NCAA Division 1 college basketball history (both men and women), and is widely considered one of the greatest college players of all time.

Last Saturday, sellout crowds packed into MVP Arena in Albany, New York to see Clark’s Iowa Hawkeyes beat Colorado to advance to the Elite 8, and a win Monday night against their rivals LSU is sending the team to the Final Four next weekend.

Even celebrities are jumping aboard the Caitlin Clark fandom train. Recently, country superstar Tim McGraw sported Clark’s #22 jersey while on stage at a concert in her home state.

And last night, another famous face was seen supporting Caitlin Clark while watching her play in Upstate New York.

Jason Sudekis Spotted In Albany, New York

BELIEVE it!

Actor Jason Sudekis, known for his longtime stint on SNL, movies like We’re The Millers, and the hit TV show Ted Lasso, is now also known as a diehard Caitlin Clark fan.

The massive star was seen in the crowd of MVP Arena on Monday night, where cameras caught him reenacting Clark’s infamous “You Can’t See Me” gesture. After the game, Sudekis stuck around the Albany arena to meet Clark, giving her a congratulatory hug.

We also love the sweatshirt he wore - a hoodie from the brand TOGETHXR that says “Everyone watches women’s sports.”

We’re so thrilled that one of our favorite actors came to New York State to show his support for these outstanding female athletes! Now, we just hope that at least one person in Albany asked him if and when Ted Lasso is coming back.
