Jordan Poyer Drove to Kansas City For The Buffalo Bills Game
The Buffalo Bills won a game that every single player, coach, staff member and fan had circled on the calendar since the schedule came out in May.
The Bills defeated the Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday evening by a score of 24-20. It's a game that completely lived up to the hype and featured the league's two best quarterbacks (Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes).
The Bills and Chiefs both had mental mistakes, especially the Bills; with the questionable officiating also being a storyline for most of the game.
Josh Allen threw for 329 yards and three touchdowns, the last one being the eventual game-winning TD to tight end Dawson Knox with 1:04 remaining in regulation.
Cornerback Taron Johnson sealed the game with an interception and the play of the secondary was led by veteran Jordan Poyer, who returned this week after missing last Sunday's game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Poyer missed that game due to a rib injury and what we did not realize until after the game...is that Poyer drove all the way to Kansas City for this week 6 game.
Jon Scott of Spectrum News Buffalo reports that Poyer was not medically cleared to fly to Kansas City, so he drove to the game (and back).
That is unbelievable.
Bills linebacker Tyrel Dodson tweeted it on Sunday night as well.
James Palmer of The NFL Network says Poyer used a car service and will have to drive all the way back to Western New York.
This is an all-time story and will live on forever with Bills fans.
