With autumn weather looking like it's getting underway in Western New York, people all over the 716 and beyond are starting to look towards the things we like to do in the Fall and Winter.

Hay rides, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas are all on the way, and so is the start of the Buffalo Sabres' 56th season in the NHL. The Sabres, one of 32 teams in the NHL, are getting ready to welcome fans back to their arenas for the season. Each team plays 41 games at their home arena and another 41 at another team's place, which means hockey fans end up spending quite a bit of time inside the hockey arena for the year.

As with other sports leagues around the nation, the cost of just about everything has been on the increase over the last few years with tariffs and inflation. This means the value of what you get when you go to an NHL game is even more important than ever.

Interestingly enough, the most and least expensive arenas are both in New York.

Of the 32 NHL Teams, the New York Rangers and Madison Square Garden rank as the most expensive places to catch a hockey game, with the average cost coming out at more than $1,300 for a family of four to catch a game. In contrast, the KeyBank Center, the home of the Sabres, is the most affordable arena in the league.

The average family of four needs less than $460 to attend a game. Not only do the Sabres have the most affordable ticket prices in the league, concessions at the KeyBank fall in the middle of the pack when compared to the other arenas.

With such affordable prices, Sabres fans should be able to see quite a few games this season.
