What is going on with NHL broadcasters? They were the ones charged with selecting this year's NHL Coach of the Year award winner, and boy, did they miss!

Lindy Ruff Robbed Of Major Award

I am not sure what the NHL broadcasters were thinking when they awarded the Coach of the Year award to Jon Cooper of Tampa Bay. Sure, he is a good coach, but if you put his record against Lindy's, there is no way he had a better season.

How is that not good enough to win the Coach of the Year award?

It seems that broadcasters have a bias against Buffalo. Even the commentators during the Buffalo Sabres' playoff run seem to be rooting for the other teams. From questioning whether Ramsus Dalhin was cheating when he "opened an old wound" to draw a penalty to wearing a Canadian jersey while reporting before the Buffalo/Montreal series, Buffalo never got a fair shake, and passing on Ruff as Coach of the Year is another slight!

So what do you think? Did Lindy get robbed, or did he deserve to finish 2nd in voting? Let me know HERE or send me a message using our free app.
