Which Western New York Town Has The Worst Price Per Square Foot Houses?
Housing is just absolutely ridiculous right now. I think that we all do it: we go through Zillow scrolling through houses and look at ones that we will never be able to afford.
If you are looking for a house right now, you know how brutal it is to be a buyer in this market. I got my real estate license during the pandemic and I have helped a lot of new home buyers purchase houses and let me tell you, every single one of them has been bought WAY over asking. I am not talking like a few thousand, the smallest amount I have seen buyers offer over-asking was $30,000 and the most were nearly $60,000. This seems to be the trend all over the country especially, right here in the Buffalo area. When will the housing prices dip down? It doesn't seem like anytime in the immediate future.
The average sale price of a home in New York State per the MLS is about $203,500.
We were looking at some data yesterday about which town has some of the most expensive houses. When you think in terms of actual SALE PRICE you would probably guess Clarence, Orchard Park, East Amherst; maybe one of them. But, what about the value of your house per square foot price.
I compared the data from some towns in Western New York for all of the sales made in the last 30 days.
