Mounted for Meals Food Drive This Saturday

The Erie County Sheriff's Mounted Reserve Unit is hosting its 16^th semi-annual Mounted for Meals food drive this Saturday, December 16th from 10 am to 1 pm in front of the Market in the Square in the Southgate Plaza in West Seneca.

Eight mounted deputies will be collecting food and cash donations for the Food Bank of WNY.  Over the years this food drive has collected literally tons of food donations as well as over $15,000.00 in cash donations.

Perishable or non-perishable food items of every kind will be accepted.  The donations that are most in need include;

• Frozen turkeys
• Hams
• Canned vegetables
• Canned soups
• Tomato sauce
• Pasta
• Bags or boxes of rice
• Tuna Fish
• Peanut butter
• Diapers
• Infant formula

Or put some "loot in the boot" to benefit the Food Bank.  Southgate Plaza is at 950 Union Road at Seneca Street in West Seneca.
