There’s Actually a ‘Nashville’ in Western New York
Have you ever looked at a map of Western New York or New York State? Maybe you get lost in the world of Google Maps and notice some very interesting town names.
Here in New York, there are some great ones. There's a Cuba, NY, which is located about 80 minutes from the City of Buffalo.
One of my favorite cities in the country is Nashville, TN.
Admittedly, I'm a huge country music fan, so my view might be bias, but it is one of the fastest-growing cities in the U.S. It also has a cool downtown vibe with Lower Broadway and the countless rooftop bars and live music that is at seemingly, every establishment.
I was going through Google Maps out of boredom this week and as long as I have lived in Western New York (which is my whole life), I never knew there was a Nashville, New York.
Nashville, NY is a hamlet located in Niagara County in the Town of Wheatfield. Its exact location is by the Sawyer Creek Hotel, by Niagara Falls Blvd. and Nash Road.
This was just as cool as realizing there was an East Seneca, as oppose to the more commonly known, West Seneca.
I grew up in north Amherst, not too far from the Wheatfield border, so this is pretty cool to know. I wish I had known about it back when I was living in the northtowns.
Did you realize there was a hamlet in Western New York called Nashville?
