Top Slot in the Latest NFL Power Rankings Belongs to Buffalo
The first week of OTAs (Organized Team Activities) is in the books for the Buffalo Bills. With many teams wrapping up the latest phase of the offseason, we take a look at the latest NFL Power Rankings.
The Bills have added a bunch of fresh faces to their roster for the 2022 season. New to Wetsern New York are eight NFL Draft picks (CB Kaiir Elam, RB James Cook, LB Terrel Bernard, WR Khalil Shakir, Matt Araiza, CB Christian Benford, OT Luke Tenuta, LB Baylon Spector) 10 undrafted free agents, and free-agent additions Von Miller, Rodger Saffold, Tim Settle, DaQuan Jones, Jordan Phillips, Duke Johnson, OJ Howard, and Jamison Crowder.
With a bunch of other bodies added for camp, the Bills 90 man roster looks a bit different than it did to end the 2021 season. So what does all this mean when it comes to the NFL Power Rankings? Pro Football Focus thinks that the Bills are still the best team in the NFL...at least on paper.
In their latest NFL Power Rankings, PFF once again has the Buffalo Bills at the top of the heap in the #1 spot. They had this to say about the current Bills roster:
It’s tough to look beyond the Bills as the single best roster in football. They didn’t even make it to the AFC Championship last season, but they were 13 seconds and some suicidal defense away from doing so at the end of the game against the Kansas City Chiefs. Josh Allen proved that his breakout year was no fluke, and the Bills has been able to add luxuries such as Von Miller to try and put them over the top.
Here's where the rest of the AFC East ranks:
New England Patriots - 18th
Miami Dolphins - 19th
New York Jets - 25th
