New York State COVID Testing Sites Open At SUNY Schools
Last week, we told you that New York State was opening 10 COVID-19 testing locations at SUNY Schools, with an additional testing location at the Carrier Dome at Syracuse University. This week, they added additional locations across the state, including two in our area at SUNY Fredonia and SUNY Brockport.
New York Governor Kathy Hochul announced 10 more SUNY-based COVID-19 testing locations, that will be open for testing, with some starting to test as early as January the 11th.
Governor Hochul said;
Starting tomorrow there will be two local SUNY testing sites open at Fredonia and Brockport, along with eight other locations. They will be accepting both appointment-based and limited walk-in testing Monday through Friday from 8:30 A.M. to 4:00 P.M.:
The SUNY Fredonia Community Testing Site will be located at Jewett Hall in Fredonia, NY. Testing will begin on January 13th, between the hours of 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM. Appointments can be scheduled here.
The SUNY Geneseo Community Testing Site is located at Sturges Hall. 1 College Circle in Geneseo, NY. Beginning on Jan. 11th the site will be open from 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM. Appointments can be scheduled here.
The additional sites are; SUNY New Paltz Community Testing Site, NY Potsdam Community Testing Site, SUNY Brockport Community Testing Site, SUNY Canton Community Testing Site, SUNY Cobleskill Community Testing Site, Farmingdale State College Community Testing Site, SUNY Morrisville Community Testing Site, SUNY Polytechnic Institute Community Testing Site
Each of the new SUNY sites will have a daily capacity for approximately 225 appointments, and be able to accommodate up to 50 walk-ins.
