Skyway Will Have Traffic Pattern Changes This Weekend

I'm sure you know how frustrating it's been if you're a regular skyway user (especially for Hamburg, Lackawanna, and other south town commuters). Construction isn't going to be completed for a while, but some traffic changes to be aware of this weekend.

According to WIVB, the skyway will close in both directions starting at 6 p.m. on Friday, from Ohio Street to Church Street. There will be detours for you to follow that will be posted.

On Saturday, two lanes of traffic in each direction will reopen at 10 p.m.

The last bit is pretty interesting since this ramp has been closed for a while, but the I-190 southbound ramp will temporarily open on Saturday at 10 p.m. and be closed periodically next week.
